MEP coordination, clash detection, and shop drawing production — done by people who've been on the pour.
Spec to reality. Nothing in between.
The Problem We Solve
The coordination gap opens the moment a shop drawing is produced by someone who has never resolved a duct conflict above a ceiling tile on a running job.
A clash that should have been caught in the model becomes an RFI at the worst possible time. A shop drawing that wasn't coordinated against the structural becomes a change order after the pour. MEP conflicts, submittal gaps, sequencing problems — they all trace back to the same thing: distance between what was specified and what actually gets built.
ASBLT VDC LLC provides BIM coordination services, MEP coordination, shop drawing production, clash detection, submittal management, and 4D schedule integration for general contractors and specialty subcontractors. Every deliverable is produced in-house. Every coordination decision is made by people who understand both the model and the field.
Services
What We Deliver
MEP Coordination
Full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination across all building systems. Clash detection, resolution, and contractor-ready shop drawings. Up to three coordination review cycles included.
Structural Shop Drawings
Connection details, embed plates, and anchor bolt plans coordinated against architectural and MEP contract documents. Submittal-ready packages formatted to project specs.
Clash Detection & RFI Management
Navisworks-based clash detection across all systems. Prioritized resolution matrix with recommended field solutions. Full RFI tracking, coordination, and log management through closeout.
Facade & Envelope Coordination
Curtain wall, panelized systems, and waterproofing interface coordination resolved against structural, MEP, and architectural documents before fabrication begins.
Submittal Package Preparation
Complete submittal binder preparation including cover sheets, compliance matrices, and supporting documentation. Formatted per project specifications and general contractor requirements.
4D Schedule Integration
Coordinated BIM model linked to the project schedule. Construction sequence model for owner and subcontractor review. Navisworks deliverable with annotated sequence video included.
How It Works
From contract documents to coordinated model — no gaps in between.
-
Document Review
We review your contract documents, architectural model, and subcontractor scope before touching the coordination model. We find the gaps before they find you.
-
Model Setup & Coordination
We build or receive the federated model in Revit and Navisworks. Clash detection runs across all systems. Every conflict is logged, prioritized, and assigned a recommended resolution.
-
Shop Drawing Production
Coordinated shop drawings are produced from the resolved model. Every drawing references the coordination model directly. Nothing is produced from 2D redlines.
-
Submittal & RFI Management
Submittal packages are prepared, tracked, and managed through the review cycle. RFIs are logged and coordinated with the design team. Nothing falls through.
-
Record Documentation
At closeout, the coordination model is updated to reflect field conditions and issued as record documentation. The as-built starts on day one.
Who We Serve
Built for contractors, not for software demos.
We work with the firms that actually build things. General contractors who need coordination without building a full in-house VDC department. Specialty subcontractors who need shop drawings they can trust. Owners who have been burned by coordination failures before.
- General contractors in pre-construction and active coordination
- Mechanical and electrical subcontractors
- Structural steel fabricators and erectors
- Glazing and facade specialty contractors
- Plumbing and fire protection subcontractors
- Owners and developers with in-house construction management
Why ASBLT
The people reviewing your shop drawings have been on the jobsite.
The trades know within ninety seconds whether the person reviewing their shop drawings has ever been on a pour. We have. That credibility cannot be hired or acquired. It compounds with every project.
No offshore production teams. No account managers between you and the work. The people on the coordination call are the people producing your deliverables.
Every engagement is scoped with defined completion criteria. Change orders in writing before commencement. No hourly surprises mid-project.
Every building we coordinate becomes structured information — system layouts, conflict patterns, sequencing decisions. That data makes us better on your next project before it starts.
